Choose your Tandem Tourist Open
WIG Tourist Open tandem kayak
The perfect day tourer for a relaxing day at the lake or on a quiet river: the stylish tandem kayak for two is open at the top and therefore offers easy entry and exit, plenty of legroom and even space in the centre for a dog, luggage or a child.
At the same time, it is very light and weighs just 23 to 30 kilos, depending on the layup. The robust carbon/kevlar version weighs 26-27 kg including keel strips.
Like all WIG kayaks, it is manufactured to an extremely high quality and robust standard using epoxy resin, vacuum infusion and heat curing. The compartmentalised luggage hatches provide sufficient buoyancy and space for day luggage. The kayak is always equipped with a large stern rudder, two seats and steering pedals.

The advantages of the Tourist Open
Features at a glance

Relaxed or sporty
Sit like in a canoe, paddle like in a kayak: an ingenious combination of both worlds. The open deck suits people who don't want to or can't sit in a closed hatch.
Open seating area, plenty of space
Ideal for anyone who doesn't want to sit in a closed tandem kayak: No constriction when getting in and out, there is open space between the two seats for a dog, luggage or a smaller child.

Robust layup with keel strips
The carbon/Kevlar fabric is transparent and visible on the bottom. Together with the keel strip, it offers robustness on tour.

Comfortable, adjustable seats
The size and leg length of the paddler are adjustable. The front seat is movably mounted on a rail.

Sturdy carrying handles
This means that the kayak can also be carried comfortably over longer distances, as the handles do not cut in.

Smart Track Ruder
The long rudder blade always maintains contact with the water and is operated from the rear position.
