Choose your WIG Player 505 or 525:
WIG Player Sea Kayak
The Player from WIG Kayaks has been designed for open-water tours and rough conditions. Thanks to its flattened hull in the seating area and the angular design of the underwater hull, it offers plenty of stability and safety. This allows you to push your personal limits or stay safe.
The Player is fitted with an adjustable seating system and several storage compartments, including day hatches for convenient storage of equipment. The two size and volume variants, the 505 and 525, are suitable for medium-weight to heavier paddlers: for weights of 70 to 90 kg, we recommend the 505 variant; for 90 to 120 kg, the 525 variant with greater volume and a slightly higher deck height.
Available in various construction variants, including fibreglass, carbon/Kevlar and full carbon. For use as a sea kayak in rough conditions, we recommend the carbon/Kevlar version with a keel strip.

The advantages of the Player sea kayak
Features at a glance

Precise control
The Player is designed for tough conditions. The wide, flattened section beneath the cockpit ensures maximum control, stability and safety in all conditions. The generous volume in the bow and stern enhances its ability to cope with difficult sea conditions.

Stiff, lightweight and durable
The use of infusion technology ensures uniform, high-quality lamination. As a result, the Player – like all WIG sea kayaks – is exceptionally light, durable and rigid. The deck design further enhances its structural rigidity.
Storage space for expeditions
The two smaller storage compartments at the front and rear of the cockpit allow direct access from the seat, whilst the two large luggage hatches can accommodate equipment and provisions, even for multi-day trips. The cleverly designed elastic straps provide storage options for additional equipment

Sea kayaking equipment
The deck lines running all the way round the kayak and the toggles at the front and rear allow you to grip the boat securely in any position after it has capsized. To make the kayak even more robust when landing or coming into contact with the bottom, a keel strip can be ordered as an optional extra.

Cockpit
The seating position can be fine-tuned for personal comfort and optimum balance. This improves control and stability in a wide range of scenarios, from calm waters to challenging technical routes.
